When asked about the DNC’s motives, he said, “The irony right now is that the DNC, which has been trying to keep me off the ballot, is now suing to keep me on the ballot.” The DNC is clearly worried about Trump’s momentum, and they’re pulling out all the stops—even if it means playing dirty.
Kennedy also highlighted his family’s legacy in the Democratic Party, saying, “I grew up in a Democratic Party that was the party of Robert Kennedy, of John Kennedy… and the Democratic Party doesn’t seem to have the kind of confidence in its nominees.” Ouch! He pointed out that over a million Americans signed petitions to get him on the ballot, showing that the people want choices, but the DNC would rather rig the system than compete fairly.
“The DNC is doing something that is essentially and fundamentally undemocratic,” Kennedy Jr. continued, drawing attention to the fact that the Democratic Party is using legal manipulation to suppress alternative voices like his and Jill Stein’s.
While the audio wasn’t perfect during the interview, Kennedy Jr.’s message came through loud and clear: the DNC is terrified of losing, and they’ll go to great lengths to hold onto power—even if it means betraying the democratic principles they claim to stand for.
Kennedy Jr. is currently trying to remove himself from ballots in several states, including Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Nevada, where he risks acting as a spoiler. “We’re trying to get off the ballot in all the states where I might be a spoiler and cause harm to President Trump,” Kennedy confirmed.
