CNN Analyst Blows the Whistle: Kamala Harris Fumbling Key Voter Base as Trump Surges Ahead
In a revealing segment, CNN’s political director, David Chalian, delivered some sobering news for Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign. Harris is struggling with a key group of voters that could make or break the election.
“If you look at the white voters without college degrees, this is a Trump-based constituency, obviously,” Chalian said. “You see his huge numbers with this group. You see that this is a trouble sign for Harris.”
Chalian pointed out that Harris is also facing challenges with another critical demographic: white, college-educated voters in battleground states. “She probably wants to make up some ground with white college-educated voters across these battlegrounds as well,” Chalian added.

This dip in support among white voters, both with and without college degrees, poses a real threat to Harris’ chances against Trump. If she can’t rally these groups, her path to victory could be in serious jeopardy.
But that’s not the only problem for the Biden-Harris administration. The latest jobs report showed the U.S. economy added just 142,000 jobs in August, missing the projected 161,000, and casting more doubt on the state of the economy. Even though the unemployment rate dropped slightly to 4.2%, the disappointing job growth is weighing on the Federal Reserve’s next moves.
Sen. J.D. Vance, Trump’s running mate, didn’t hold back when asked about recent economic news at a Michigan rally. A New York Times reporter asked Vance about inflation being under 3%, the lowest since mid-2021, but the crowd’s reaction said it all.
“Well, I think the crowd reaction says it all,” Vance replied to the boos. “Look, when they say that inflation is down, they mean from a baseline where groceries are already 30% more expensive than they were when Donald Trump was president.”
Vance criticized Harris, saying, “It’s because Kamala Harris failed to do her job,” adding that Harris has been acting as the real president, given Biden’s state.
“She says she wants to tackle the affordability crisis on day one… Well, which is it, Kamala? Which is it?” Vance asked, hammering home the point that the administration’s handling of inflation has left Americans struggling. “Americans are becoming paupers in their own country. Inflation is a disaster.”
