Another Major Endorsement for Trump! Top Silicon Valley Investor Slams ‘Weaponized Justice System’
Former President Donald Trump has been racking up endorsements from some unexpected figures. While many thought that prominent names like Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard would not support him, they’ve all thrown their weight behind the former president. Now, you can add Silicon Valley investor Naval Ravikant to the list.
Ravikant, known for his insightful take on politics and business, shared his thoughts during an interview with Megyn Kelly on her Sirius XM show, The Megyn Kelly Show. He explained that what pushed him to support Trump was the aggressive “lawfare” being waged against the former president.
“It was the lawfare that kind of brought me off the sidelines. It’s really disgusting behavior, because this is how you descend into a complete banana republic,” Ravikant said. He warned that the selective use of laws to target political enemies was dangerous. “The moment you can start weaponizing the law against your enemies electively, that’s the beginning of the end.”
Quoting former Peru President Óscar R. Benavides, Ravikant added, “For my friends, everything, for my enemies, the law.” He explained that selective prosecution could destroy democracy. “Once you’re in charge and you get to dictate who the law applies to, you’re on a very slippery slope.”
Ravikant dove deep into the charges against Trump, saying, “If you were to actually look at the charges that were brought against Trump — and I actually read them quite carefully — these were really trumped up. They were really made up.” He pointed to issues like the violation of the statute of limitations and attempts to turn minor issues into felonies as examples of the overreach.
The investor also called out the progressive movement, particularly figures backed by George Soros, for using prosecutors to selectively go after opponents. “A lot of the progressive DA movement that comes out of George Soros and others is based on this understanding that, ‘Hey, actually, we can choose whether or not to prosecute certain people,’” Ravikant explained.
Turning his attention to Vice President Kamala Harris, Ravikant didn’t hold back. “If you want the case against Kamala Harris, it’s the fact that she was DA in San Francisco and San Francisco’s a mess,” he said. He criticized the policies that have contributed to the decline of major cities, including Harris’s support of soft-on-crime prosecutors like Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón.
Ravikant also warned that using the justice system as a political tool could have catastrophic consequences. “I think the weaponization of the justice system, the willingness to go into lawfare, that is a thing that will lead to violence,” he said. “This is the scary stuff. This is the stuff that ends a Republic or turns into a one-party state, better known as a dictatorship.”
He also called out the political donors in Silicon Valley who support these aggressive tactics. “And the people who are in Silicon Valley, and the donors who are out there supporting this lawfare, they’re dead to me,” Ravikant said. “These people are destroying the ground on which they stand. Do they think they won’t be next?”
Ravikant’s endorsement adds to the growing list of unlikely allies rallying behind Trump, signaling that the former president’s influence stretches far beyond traditional conservative circles.
