In a series of explosive Facebook comments, Jeff Walz didn’t hold back his feelings about his brother’s far-left ideology. “I’m 100% opposed to all his ideology,” Jeff declared, making it clear that he’s not on board with his brother’s political views. What’s more, Jeff hinted that he might even endorse former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election, a move that would surely ruffle some feathers.
Jeff’s comments came in response to a Facebook user urging him to join Trump on stage. Jeff admitted, “I’ve thought long and hard about doing something like that! Tim Walz, 60, has a rocky relationship with his family. According to Jeff, the two brothers haven’t spoken in eight years, and Jeff wasn’t even informed when Tim was picked as Kamala Harris’s running mate. “My family wasn’t given any notice that he was selected,” Jeff shared, adding another layer of tension to the already strained family ties.
Jeff Walz, now living in Florida, isn’t shy about his political stance. His loyalty to the Republican Party is clear, especially after conservative journalist Laura Loomer uncovered a Facebook post from March 30, 2023—the day Trump was indicted. In the post, Jeff lamented, “We’ve just become a third world banana republic,” which garnered over 500 likes. It’s evident that Jeff’s views align more with Trump’s vision for America than with his brother’s.
Federal Election Commission records show that Jeff is a registered Republican and even donated to Trump’s campaign in 2016. On the other hand, there’s no record of him ever supporting his brother’s political endeavors, even during Tim’s time in the U.S. House of Representatives.
When approached for an interview, Jeff Walz declined, preferring to keep his opinions on the matter out of the public eye. However, his comments have already sparked a buzz, highlighting a deep divide not only within the political landscape but also within the Walz family itself.
